Isa Sanchez Speaks at the PA Migrant Education Program
On October 26, 2024, SISU Empowering Others had the privilege of being part of the PA Migrant Education Program's Annual Educational Activities and Health Fair. The event, held at Overlook Park in Allentown, Pennsylvania, gathered community members to participate in an evening of fun activities, refreshments, and resources designed to support the educational and health needs of migrant families.
Isa Sanchez, one of the founders of SISU Empowering Others, was invited to speak at this event, highlighting SISU's mission of empowering vulnerable populations through community-based support and mentorship.
Isa shared insights into SISU's programs and services, which focus on mentorship, access to essential resources, and community integration. The event provided a platform to reach migrant families, offering them a chance to connect with SISU and learn how our organization can support their journey in accessing vital resources and achieving their goals.
The PA Migrant Education Program, a part of Pennsylvania’s Department of Education, focuses on ensuring that migratory children and their families receive educational support, regardless of language barriers or frequent relocations. This year's event was marked by a vibrant display of local services, with SISU being an integral part of the resources provided to families in need.
SISU Empowering Others is honored to collaborate with the PA Migrant Education Program and is committed to further strengthening this partnership to empower more families across Pennsylvania. We look forward to continuing our shared vision of an inclusive community where everyone can thrive and have access to the tools they need for a better future.
